The British Small Animal Veterinary Association (BSAVA) has for many years been acknowledged as a publisher of an excellent series of manuals for the veterinary practitioner. The second edition of the “Manual of Canine and Feline Behavioural Medicine”, edited by Debra Horwitz and Daniel Mills has recently been published.

The chapter on “aggression toward familiar people and animals” written jointly by Tiny De Keuster and Hildegard Jung features the Blue Dog programme as an option in prevention strategies. This underlines the fact that the scientific community recognises the Blue Dog programme as a valid prevention tool.
